Ultra Festival has been a staple in the global EDM scene and this year, the festival will grace South African shores for the tenth time. The long-awaited festival will take place at The Ostrich in Cape Town on 9 May 2025, followed by a show at The Expo Centre in Johannesburg on 10 May. This is an exciting moment for Electronic music fans, as they get the chance to see all of their favourite acts from Martin Garrix to Maphorisa as they celebrate ten years with Ultra Fest.
2025 Ultra Festival SA Lineup
The lineup for these exciting concerts includes many acts from South Africa and abroad, leaving space for some thrilling shows. Headline acts for the two day festival include Dutch DJs Armin van Buuren and Martin Garrix and American DJs KSHMR and ISOxo. This international lineup makes sure there is something for everyone with the headliners boasting some smash hits that will surely have the hearts of EDM fans everywhere.
The Cape Town and Johannesburg lineups vary slightly, with the Cape Town show having two stages: the “Ultra Main Stage” and the “Resistance” stage. The Ultra Main Stage is where the headline acts will perform, followed by supporting acts like Gil Glaze, Headroom, Das Kapital and more. The resistance stage will feature headliners like Shimza, Massano and Mind Against, with supporting acts from Fiona Kraft, Talia Zaken, Kong and many others.
In Johannesburg, Ultra festival is set up with four different stages where various performers will get the chance to share their sets. The Ultra Main Stage, Resistance Stage, The Groove Room and the Clubhouse will be home to many acts that will bring the house down!
The Main and Resistance stages will feature the same artists as the Cape Town show, while the Groove Room and Clubhouse will bring a completely different vibe to the occasion.
The Clubhouse will be home to DJ Buhle, Da Kapo, Shamiso and many other exciting guests. The Groove Room is likely to be highly anticipated with performances by Maphorisa, Kabza de Small, DBN Gogo and Vigro Deep, among many other class acts.
Where to get Ultra Tickets?
As expected, the tickets were flying off the shelf, however, you might just be lucky enough to find a ticket or two at the last minute.
Tickets are on sale on the Ultra SA website, with prices ranging from R1 150 for Tier 3 GA tickets, to R5 500 for VVIP tickets. But who can put a price on a good time anyway?
Ultra SA seems set to be a special night that no one would want to miss!
