As the pinnacle of luxury fashion, Haute Couture Week returns, from 7 to 10 July 2025, with a highly anticipated line up of legacy fashion houses, cutting-edge guest designers, and industry-defining transitions. This exclusive showcase, governed by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, reaffirms couture’s role as fashion’s highest art form. This season, all eyes are on final farewells, bold debuts, and the ever-evolving dialogue between tradition and innovation.
What to Expect at Haute Couture Week
One of the most anticipated moments is Demna’s final show for Balenciaga on Wednesday, July 9. After nearly a decade of redefining the house with his distinctive precision, this collection will mark his official exit before taking the reins at Gucci. Later that shame day, Glenn Martens is settled unveil his first couture collection for Maison Margiela, known for his work at Y/Project and Diesel. His debut is expected to challenge silhouette conventions while honouring the house’s deconstructive DNA. Chanel, showing on Tuesday, July 8, will present a traditional collection led by its in-house creative studio following the departure of Virginie Viard. This will be the last collection before Matthieu Blazy officially takes over.
For the first time in years, Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino are not showing at Haute Couture Week. Dior is preparing for Jonathan Anderson’s first collection as creative director (due in January 2026). Jean Paul Gaultier has a new creative director, Duran Lantink, who is still settling in. While Valentino is still in Flux following Piccioli’s departure. Their absence marks a major shift and creates space for other houses to shine.
Haute Couture Week welcomes a number of guest designers whose work exceeds the definition of couture across geography and culture. Notable names this season include, Robert Wun, Rahul Mishra, Imane Ayissi, Iris van Herpen, Peet Dullaert, Juana Martín, Ashi Studio, Georges Hobeika and many more.
