The FIFA World Cup Fixtures are out, and fans can not wait to see their national teams in action. The tournament will kick-off on 11 June 2026, with the final match on 19 July 2027. “The biggest-ever edition of the global showpiece will see 104 games featuring 48 teams played across 16 host cities in three countries: Canada, Mexico and the United States”, says FIFA.com
FIFA World Cup Group Stage
The group stage will run from 11- 27 June 2026 and will feature 48 teams, split into 12 groups of 4 teams each. Some key dates include:
- June 11, 2026: First game of the tournament that will feature two group stage games, with one match playing at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City and the other at Estadio Akron, Guadalajara.
- June 12, 2026: Canada will go against a team in Group B at BMO Field in Toronto, while the United States will take on its first opponent in Los Angeles.
- The matches that follow will play through to 27 June, rotating across venues including Boston, Vancouver, New York, New Jersey, San Francisco Bay, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Monterrey, Miami, Seattle, Atlanta, Kansas City and more.
Knockout Stages
- The knockout stage will begin on 28 June 2026 (Match 73) where the runner ups of Group A will vs Group B runner-ups at the Los Angeles Stadium, in the Round of 32. This will be followed by the Round of 16. Some key matches include:
Round of 16:
- 4-7 July 2026: Matches will take place in various cities including Philadelphia, Houston, New York, Mexico City, Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta and Vancouver.
Quarterfinals:
- 9-11 July 2026: Matches will be played in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and Kansas.
- Semi-finals:
- 14-15 July 2026: Matches will be held in Dallas and Atlanta
- Bronze Final: July 18 in Miami
FIFA WC 26 Final: 19 July 2026, New Jersey Stadium
- Full kick-off times and details on group assignments will be announced after the tournament draw in December 2025. The 2026 World Cup is set to be the largest, most expansive, and most geographically diverse tournament yet.
